Welcome to Slugger & Switch-Hitter — Start Here
Welcome aboard. You now have access to both systems: Slugger and the Switch-Hitter bonus system. This short guide explains what they do, what to expect month to month, and exactly how to find your way around the member area. Read it once and you’ll be set.
There’s nothing to install and no code to run. I run both systems after the market close and send you the exact trades by email — you place the orders through whatever brokerage you already use.
What Slugger & Switch-Hitter are
Both are monthly rotational swing-trading systems for strong, high-growth U.S. stocks. Each scans the S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100 for stocks in a clear uptrend that are pulling back relative to the S&P 500 — then a proprietary engine ranks the candidates and picks the strongest setups. The idea rests on two things stocks reliably do: trend and mean-revert. We buy strength on a dip, and hold while the trend runs.
They are deliberately aggressive systems — historically strong compound growth, but with large drawdowns along the way. They’re built to be one part of a diversified portfolio, with a slice of capital set aside for aggressive strategies. They are not designed to be traded with 100% of your money.

Complete, current performance — compound growth, win rates, and maximum drawdowns for both systems, with the S&P 500 for comparison — lives on the Results page. It’s the single source of truth for the track record, so it’s always up to date.
How the two systems work together
Same core rules, a few different parameters, and — importantly — different trade days. Staggering them is intentional: together they can catch mid-month pullbacks as buying opportunities and mid-month rallies as selling opportunities.
Slugger
The core system
Switch-Hitter
The bonus system
You receive every signal from both systems, plus the full archive for each. Positions sometimes overlap between the two — when that happens, it’s up to you to track each system’s positions separately. Running a separate brokerage account for each system makes that easy; it’s recommended, but not required.
How your trade signals arrive
After the market close, I run the systems and send your alert. You’ll get it two ways: by email, and posted to your member Dashboard. Most members spend about 15 minutes a month or less across both systems.
- The email subject tells you the system — formatted [Slugger] … or [Switch-Hitter] … so you always know which one a trade belongs to.
- Each alert lists exactly what to do — the tickers to buy, sell, or hold, with a stop price for every position.
- When to act — place market orders at the next morning’s open, or set conditional/limit orders in advance.
- Stop-loss alerts — if a position hits its stop between trade days, you’ll get an email that night so you can exit.
Do this first
Add my sending address to your contacts and check your spam/promotions folder for the first month, so no signal ever slips past you. If an expected alert hasn’t arrived, it’s always waiting on your Dashboard.
What to expect — the honest version
Monthly returns are not evenly distributed and are not guaranteed to be profitable. Historically more months are winners than losers, but a real share of months are losses or break-even. Many new traders assume a good stock-picking system wins every month — that isn’t realistic or possible.
Stocks will hit their stops and we will take losses. That’s a normal, expected part of the process — not a sign anything is broken. These systems play for odds over many trades; they are not get-rich-quick schemes. Holds typically run several weeks, and prices can swing meaningfully up and down during that time. Wealth generation is a multi-year process, and patience is the edge most people underestimate.
Risk & sizing
Suggested account minimum is $5,000; $20,000+ is recommended so you can hold all positions cleanly. Trade these as part of a broader portfolio — never with money you can’t afford to lose completely.

What each section does
Dashboard /member-dashboard/
Your home base. It shows the latest Slugger and latest Switch-Hitter signal side by side, so the current trade is always front and center. A green New badge marks any signal posted in the last few days. For the running history, head to Archives.
My Account /customer-dashboard/
Everything to do with your membership. From here you can view your subscription status and next renewal date, see your orders and invoices, update your payment method and billing details, grab any downloads, and edit your account details. Your membership runs at $1 for the first 30 days, then $79/month, and you can cancel here anytime in a couple of clicks.

The complete record of every signal from both systems, grouped by year and month. Click any trade to expand it and read exactly what was sent. It’s the best way to get a feel for how the signals read before your first live trade.
Guides /guides/
Setup walkthroughs, strategy references, and FAQs — including this welcome guide. New guides are added over time, and product how-tos live here too if you buy a strategy.

Your first five minutes
- Sign in and bookmark your Dashboard at relaxedtrader.com/member-dashboard/.
- Whitelist my email address and check spam/promotions for the first month so signals always land.
- Decide your allocation — what slice of your portfolio these aggressive systems get, and whether to run one account or two.
- Browse the Archives to see how real signals are written, then read the latest ones on your Dashboard.
- Set two monthly reminders — around the 6th trading day (Slugger) and the 14th (Switch-Hitter) — so you’re ready to place orders the next morning.

Important disclosures
RelaxedTrader is an educational and informational service. Kurt is not a registered investment advisor or broker-dealer, and nothing in this guide is personalized financial advice. Every trade you place is your own decision.
Past performance is not indicative of future results. The track record shown on the Results page is based on historical back-tests; reported figures are hypothetical, reflect modeled (estimated) commissions and slippage, and have inherent limitations because the trades were not executed live. Swing trading high-growth stocks carries a substantial risk of loss, including the loss of your entire stake. Never trade money you can’t afford to lose.
