The logic behind the edge.
The Gold Breakout strategy uses an Opening Range Breakout framework to trade decisive intraday moves in gold (@GC). The opening range sets the key level for the session; the strategy buys when gold breaks to a statistically significant new intraday high — buying strength as momentum builds and other traders are stopped in — then exits at the open of the next session. Position sizing scales with account equity, risking a set percentage on each trade. Developed in 2016, it has traded in real time ever since — continuing to work because its logic is fundamentally sound.
